We’re incredibly excited to introduce you to Explore Inland Tours, a truly special gem in Belize’s vibrant tourism landscape. We’ve had the privilege of working closely with this remarkable family business, and we’re thrilled to share their story, their passion, and what makes a Belizean adventure with them an experience you won’t soon forget.
Explore Belize Like a Local: A Legacy of Authentic Adventure
When we say Explore Belize like a local, we truly mean it. Explore Inland Tours officially began in 2010, but the roots of this company go much deeper. Our founder—Sergio, a proud Belizean with a deep love for the land—has been guiding travelers for over 30 years. Long before it was a registered business, it was a way of life: showing curious adventurers the untouched caves, rivers, and ruins that make Belize truly one of a kind.
Back in the day, Sergio’s tours were built on word of mouth, handwritten directions, and boots-on-the-ground knowledge. He didn’t need flashy marketing or apps—just the forest, the stories, and a promise to treat every guest like family.
Blending Heritage with Modern Adventures
Today, his daughter, Kayla, is taking the lead, bringing a fresh perspective to the company while honoring its deeply traditional roots. Her goal? To combine the cultural richness and legacy of Belizean guiding with the modern traveler’s needs.
“I’m proud of everything my dad built,” she shares. “And now that I’m stepping in, I want to make sure we keep those values alive—while also making it easier for people around the world to connect with our country, our people, and our tours.”
That means:
- More digital accessibility for bookings, making your planning seamless.
- Instagram-worthy moments (without missing the magic of the experience).
- A continued commitment to sustainable tourism practices.
- And a deeper emphasis on sharing Belizean culture, not just showcasing it.
From Cave Tubing through ancient rivers to exploring the majestic Tikal ruins, Explore Inland Tours remains a family-owned, proudly Belizean company—run by people who know the trails, speak the languages, and carry the stories.
If you’re looking for authenticity, history, and heart, this is where your Belize adventure begins.
Sincerely,
Shanice Salazar – Belizean Marketeer.
